Is JustVoice really private?
Yes. By default, all speech-to-text processing happens entirely on your Mac using OpenAI's Whisper model. Your audio is never sent to any server. Cloud features are opt-in only and clearly labeled.
Do I need an internet connection?
No. JustVoice works completely offline in local mode. The Whisper AI model runs on your device using GPU acceleration. An internet connection is only needed for account management or optional cloud sync (Pro plan).
What languages does JustVoice support?
JustVoice supports over 90 languages through the Whisper model, including English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, and many more. Language detection is automatic.
How accurate is the transcription?
JustVoice uses OpenAI's Whisper large-v3 model, which achieves near-human accuracy for clear speech in supported languages. Rule-based cleanup automatically handles filler words, punctuation, and formatting.
Does JustVoice work with any app?
